Paul Thornton, PhD
INNOVATION PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
As Innovation Partnerships Manager, Paul works across New Brunswick's innovation ecosystem to build partnerships that support founders, researchers, and growing companies. He oversees NBIF's industry innovation programs, including the Innovation Voucher Fund and Cleantech Momentum Program, while helping organizations navigate commercialization opportunities and available supports. Prior to joining NBIF, Paul spent nearly a decade with Impact Chemistry (formerly GreenCentre Canada) and later worked as a consultant to chemical and life sciences companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science from UNB and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Dalhousie University. Paul also contributes as a reviewer for provincial and national research funding programs and mentors researchers through Lab2Market initiatives. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, outdoor adventures, and growing tomatoes.
