As an Investment Associate at NBIF, Laïla evaluates investment opportunities, supports portfolio companies, and helps identify high-potential startups across New Brunswick. Prior to joining NBIF, she led investments in early-stage companies as an Analyst with the Fraser Student Venture Fund at the University of New Brunswick. Laïla graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Finance from UNB, with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Marketing, and has completed the Canadian Private Capital Investment School through the Ivey Academy. She also serves as a board member with Le Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick. A lifelong entrepreneur at heart, she once founded and operated her own pop-up coffee shop while completing her studies.
